I moved from High Wycombe just over 4 years ago. The Chilterns were one of the sites where they were re-introduced. It's fair to say it's been an amazing success. One of the reasons has been human intervention but not in the right way. Lots of people in Wycombe put meat out for them and it's not uncommon to have them on your garden or on your garage if you do so.
Despite this they are an amazing bird to watch in the air and a real site close up
If you drive from Stokenchurch to Wycombe when the cafe at the top of the hill chucks it's leftovers out their can be what looks like a 100 kites in the car park.

Thanks for the info that's very helpful. Had heard conflicting things about the amount of carp in there so it helps to know there are a few and would be worth targeting at some point. Hopefully I'll be fishing next week work permitting

One other good point is the high back, as it provides shelter if you have the wind at your back.

I know its probably been done to death but I am hoping there has been a few more 'users' since the last time it had been done to death, so maybe a few new opinions ? ..

I had an original Abu 501 back in the day and getting another CF reel really appeals - but which one to get ??

I mainly float fish still waters so any pointers to which one for that please ?
