Spade end hair rigs

The new ezee tie does have a diagram with it showing how to tie a hair rig using the matchman on a spade hook,
Or if you are want put a small pin at a angle into the matchman tyer and play about with it,putting a hair on to it as aprt of the wrapping the line round the shank, would be fiddly at first but so are some other tyer's
the higher tensile strength of a spade hook against a eyed hook makes sense a slightly lower grade would be more malleable to bend round for an eye but would need to be larger to give the same strength.

I took my two kids to Whipsnade and we went to check out the baboons at the primate house.

They were shocked by the loud screeching, females baring their red arses; and the males jumping around, fighting for dominance, and constantly trying for a quick one.

Anyway, the Luton school trip finally moved on and we got to go look at the monkeys.

I have yet to receive a reply from ‘Greys’ but the supplier whom I bought the rod off replied almost instantly.
They have requested that I return the tip to them so that the manufacturer can assess the damage. I guess they will examine it and decide whether it was caused by misuse or a manufacturing issue. No idea how they will do that if m homest but I do not recall hitting anything with it or having the ‘line-wrap’ experience either.
Fingers crossed but it’s going to be while either way before I get it replaced.

Team manager makes the selection just like the England football and cricket teams and I guess hockey & netball too amongst others. If you are good enough to be considered he will know about you.

MAP TKS 601 2G - any updates on how good it is?

Thanks All In and cjsid,
Have also been considering the 701 too. I believe it also has two short 3's as well and a few more / extra top kits than the 601.
One would hope / expect the difference in cost between the two is more than just MAP adding in a few extra pole sections and that the pole in itself is worthy of the extra expenditure.

Venue for this years event will be a repeat visit to the excellent Pittlands fishery in deepest Mid Kent on Sat 9th Decemeber.

This year the plan is to fish Lake C, there are a few more carp in there to go at so should give a few more options.

http://pittlandslakes.co.uk/

DRAW 8:30am - FISH 10am till 3pm.

Maximum Anglers=18

PICK 'N' MIX OPTIONAL POOLS: All for £25 or you choose
Day Ticket only £8 (mandatory)
Carp Pool £4
Silvers Pool £4
Overall £4
Super Pool £5

So you can fish for as little as £8 on an otherwise private members fishery.

Breakfast will be available on the day but if you could let me know as you register I can let the fishery know to ensure they have enough in !

Match will be limited to 18. I suspect there will be some good interest in this so get your name down early. Please only book if you are generally interested. First dibs must go to Md'ers but if we get to Friday 24th Nov and the list is not full then I will open it up to guests as well.

As always a raffle prize for this is Mandatory.

And lastly....all are welcome but please note this is a South East Fur & Feather so no comments about locality please LOL.

I brought mine second hand recommended to me that it was a strong pole, It came with 6 top kits which are original Map kits as they have carptec on them,it was fitted with Half lengths of purple hydro which were set tight, so previous owner had used it to get fish away from snags.
Not sure which other kits fit, but I would take a look at the Drennan ones as they are quite cheap, Drennan do two types series 7 which is 21 mm & series 7 xl which is 23 mm
I checked the Inside diameter of my top kits and they are 20 mm, so you would have to try it in a tackle shop with the no 4
