I ordered a rod from them a few months back. On their website it said estimated delivery date in 2-3 days time, but after 3 days I got an email saying it would be a couple of weeks - so obviously not in stock. I didn’t mind waiting but they should be upfront and give a reasonably accurate timescale. I feel that companies who do this are taking your money for items they know they then have to order in, and that should be made clear before to you before you buy imo.

Anyway the rod arrived after about 2 weeks and it was fine.

You're allowed the odd whinge after you've fallen off a roof. Oddly enough a couple of days after you'd fallen the guy over the road was going up a ladder to take his decorations down without any anchor at the bottom. So I quickly grabbbed the camera. Went out to hold the ladder for him which I might have done anyway but your fall certainly made sure I did. There, I bet that makes you feel much better doesn't it

Out of interest what accessories would you put on the support leg of a side tray.

That was what I was wondering too....as the lid would get in the way a bit:D
Maybe one of these....

You would have a job using that as the leg is in the middle, plus the width of the try and lid.

The question is. If you have prebaited the evening before do you then put more balls in on top of that when you arrive in the morning to fish? There are two scenarios. If you don't put more bait in and the fish have already eaten what you put in the night before there will be no bait in your peg. On the other hand if there are fish in your peg is putting a load more bait on their heads going to scare them off?

As a Sheffield United fan obviously I am outraged that they bring in family members like this but I have to say there are a hard core of fans of both clubs who would say or do anything to upset their rivals,I despair of some fans and the way they behave at matches, grown men effing and blinding within earshot of youngsters and women and the sheer hatred of other clubs fans,oh for the days when fans weren't seperated and you could have a bit of good natured banter,I remember going to Goodison Park as a teenager to see United beat Everton in the third round of the FA cup when we were a second division side and they were a high flying division 1 side, not a hint of trouble.

Attach a small mesh pva bag to the hook or use the cone method.

At 40 yards I would guess that you are fishing on the bottom and not feeding much

That Middy chair doesn't look very different to the standard Korum / Preston chair. Presumably it's the metalwork and accessories that make it suitable for pole fishing.

Personally I can pole fish from my Korum chair - but I have got extendable legs on it so it the seat is much higher. I don't feel comfortable fishing the pole unless my arse and knees are at a roughly similar level. Keep the chair at a slight angle to the water and shipping / unshipping is straightforward enough.

I'm looking for a couple of tips for an older fox rod: Challenger 13' Medium Feeder.

It's my favourite distance rod but I need some lighter tips as they came to an end.

Any one know where I can get some or what other brand fits fox rods. I've contacted Fox and they haven't returned yet.

Thanks in advance

I would not pay that much attention to stated line ratings as they are often numbers plucked out of nowhere and only a guide.
Its a bit like saying you can only land fish up to 1 pound on a 6 elastic, its how you use it that is important not some suggested line rating if your tackle is anywhere near balanced like Sam says above you will not have problems, put 10lb line on a typical 13 foot float rod and expect it to put that much pressure on and you will have problems.

Correct Anglingman and add to that:

If the punter puts on the first bet and they show signs of losing they then have to put a significantly larger amount on the opponent at the right odds to make it worthwhile. (bookies know that and shorten the price accordingly)

The kicker is though that the game changes and the original choice then starts winning again.
This can cause the punter to lose the higher stake and a bet loss occurs.

Won't need too many of those a day to make a big loss.

Perhaps Bigdave needs to make his explanation even simpler

I use three ST6000RBs for my piking. I'm really happy with them, just a shame they don't come with a spare spool!

As far as I can tell the 6000 and 10000 are more or less identical and the only difference is that the 10000 has a deeper spool to hold more line.

If you're planning to buy spare spools anyway might be worth looking at the DL as they're sometimes on offer for about the same price as the ST plus spool.
