Holgate did react to the extent that he put his hands on the referee to draw his attention to whatever it was he thought he heard.

I don’t know whether Holgate has made anything up or not but I think some people have rather jumped to judgement without knowing the facts or thinking of other possibilities.

if my jacket a bit minty on the inside i will give it a wash in washing machine ,
i put mine on a 30c quick wash and NIKWAX TX Direct Wash In Waterproofer , let it air dry
test it to see if its beads , if not half a aerosol can of GRANGERS Fabsil Gold Waterproofer does the job.

Help what?

You to picture what he is saying.
That a spade end knot tied on to an out turned eyed hook looks neater than a (for example) grinner knot tied to a straight eyed hook.

Haha, I know what he's saying, don't think you know what I am though!?

I could play dumb and come up with something funny or rude.
But I know who you are, many years ago I won a clever claw in some competition along with a DVD featuring yourself.
Also seen you on the telly once or twice!

A champion of champions.

Champion - noun:
A person who has surpassed all rivals in a sporting contest or other competition.
A person who vigorously supports a person or cause.

I don't know you or your personality but have seen some condescending or not very well thought out replies you have posted at times showing very little virtue that would be expected from a champion.

I think you have been a bit hard on Nathan and misunderstood his reply. Where he says "don't think you know what I am though!?" I think he means what I am saying not who I am.

Thanks, obviously I meant what I'm saying!

Fair enough

Yeah used willy worms a number of times and all has been well.

Maybe it was just on that day for that moment in time but I would have expected/hoped that willys bait on the odd occasion to last the same length as the stuff from the local shop!

No real problems using willy's imho.........

Police arrest man over Northampton cat deaths

Much like dogs every cat has different characteristics. Our current two both don't like being out too late after dark, miaow to come in and use the litter tray and don't hunt much (boy cat has caught 2 pigeons in his one and a bit years while the girl cat doesn't appear to have killed anything other than butterflies)

Our neighbour who we shared a communal landing with hated cats and we had to get the police and environmental health involved. Powdered mothballs in the carpets so they'd pick it up on their paws and lick it off and being seen throwing bricks at them.

Just the sort who'd relish being a Croydon type

Plastic on cork handles

I'm a bit surprised that no one has advocated varnishing cork handles yet. It's something I've seen fairly regularly over the years when looking to buy second hand rods. As far as I'm concerned, leaving plastic on a handle is a minor indiscretion compared to this abomination. If I bought a rod with a varnished handle, it would have to be cheap enough to have a total handle replacement factored in.

£20,000 a day???

Surely not

yup 20 grand a day, sometimes more at the likes of cheltnam, as i said he has come to not really enjoy it and wants to get into property.he bets on everything but his favourite bets are tennis as there are no draws, say 2 players are having a match.in simplistic terms one(player A) is 3-1 and the other(player B)is 5 to one, he places a bet on both he bets 5 grand on player A knowing that if he wins he wins 15000, he bets 3 grand on player B again winning 15000, so he has bet 8 grand but wins 15000 (plus his stake back depending on what player wins)making a profit of 7000, obviously its not as easy as this and the art id knowing what to bet at the right time and jiggling it around amongst different bookies so they dont cotton on to it but you get the general idea

I think he is pulling the wool over your eyes on that 1. The only time a tennis player will go to 5/1 or over is if they are 2 sets down. Very rare you see the odds go above and beyond 5/1 as there is a risk the other player (who would be priced at about 1/20) may get injured

i just plucked them odds out of my head, as i said i was trying to make it simplistic so you got the general idea of how he backs both players but will come out on top whoever wins...maybe i never made it too simple for some...my bad
